Happy Birthday Ty!

Happy Birthday to my cute pie! Tyler is 26 today!
He is actually starting a new job, and training is up in Ogden, so he slept at his parents house last night and I haven't even gotten to see him! Lucy has seriously loved having him home, and when I went in there this morning she just kept asking for 'Daddy'. 
She is seriously attached to him.... it will be so fun to see how she gets even more attached to him when we have this baby!

We celebrated Ty's birthday on Saturday- which happened to be Prom! We got to see both Tyler's little sister, Jessi, and my little brother, Kyle, before they left!

Jessi is seriously gorgeous. and her and Bonnie just got home the day before from being in Peru for 10 days...

so Tyler never wants anything for his birthday- you know, other than like a new ipad or something totally un-buyable for us right now- so, we got together with all of his close friends at the Lonestar in Centerville to celebrate!

Driving home Saturday night I was feeling pretty awful, so we decided just to stay home yesterday (from Kaysville that is- we teach primary so I had to go to church- does that sound bad? oh well, I didn't feel good so I would have definitely stayed home if we didn't teach the little squirts.)
Sacrament meeting was slightly torturous- I swear our church is 100 degrees- but it was so nice to just stay home and hang out, especially because Tyler will be driving to Ogden everyday this week, so not driving anywhere is pretty great to me at the moment.
I'm totally starting to swell with this warmer weather- hopefully the rain today will cool off our house! can i just say- I'm so so so glad i'm not going to be pregnant this summer! 

anyway- i'm now officially 'full-term'- 37 wks, and just under 2 1/2 weeks until this baby is here!
Yay! I really am excited to get her here, just a little worried about Lucy while we are in the hospital- no offense to Tyler- but he knows this, he was pretty useless in the delivery room- I mean that in the nicest way possible- but I want my mom there again- she wasn't planning on being there with Lucy- but Tyler almost passed out, and everything happened so fast that she literally backed herself into a corner of the room--- haha- but I need her there again so she won't have Lucy- and Tyler's mom can take her for one day, but they leave the next day for Tyler's brothers graduation-- plus she is in Kaysville so somehow I have to get Lucy there, and really it's up to Cheryl & Kyle- Cheryl who teaches 3rd grade. Huh.
I told Cheryl I'm just dropping Lucy off at her school if I go into labor in the middle of the day! Hope that's ok! Anyway- i'm sure it will all work out.
I think Tyler is secretly hoping he can just stay home with Lucy, and send me to the hospital with my mom.
He says it like its a joke--- but really.
Haha.
Ok enough rambling- Farewell.

    It was a fun night out! Thanks for the invite! And I think I'll be inviting my mom into the delivery room with me and my #2. Let's just say Chase didn't handle the whole "delivery" very well.

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
