friends and sunshine.

my cute friend paige and her kiddos were in town this last week, so we got together a couple different days with some of my good friends from high school to let our kids play and have a little girl talk at the park. it was definitely nice to relax in the good weather and laugh!

i can't believe that between the 4 of us we have 6 kids, and just 5 years ago we were graduating high school! so crazy.

and lily the diva. she is seriously the most beautiful little girl. love her!


just lucy- queen of the park. she literally played on the playground for 2 hours straight on wednesday, and friday we were at the castle park from noon to 4pm- she played the WHOLE time. holy cow- the girl loves parks!

we got together again on friday as well- this was after playing with our cousins for 2 hours on the same playground- it didn't phase lucy- she was hardcore all day!
she loves her 'booty'. you know- pirates booty. i love it when she asks for booty- and i love the dirt literally in her hair.

and cute clara-bara. she is seriously getting SO cute. and is the BEST baby ever. I am one lucky mama- I love my girls!



please ignore the fact that i look like a homeless person. 

and i win the mother of the year award- after 4 hours at the park. 2 hours in her car seat completely covered, and 2 hours in the shade with a hat on--- Clara has a bright red face. 
apparently my pediatrician wasn't lying when he said sunburns have been happening very easily this spring- i really do need to put sunscreen on her! 
poor girl. it's gone now- so don't go callin' child services on me!

p.s. how cute are her fat rolls? i love me some fat babies!- speaking of fat babies- cute amy had her baby tonight- 9 lbs 7 oz! holy cow huh? Yay for chubby babies!

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
