12 days of Christmas
Can I just start by saying... I Love our little tree!
It is full of all of me and Tyler's ornaments that we got all growing up, and we continue getting a new ornament for each family member every year! Don't get me wrong, I do think the fancy trees are pretty, but they are not for us! (At least not for like 20+ years when someday we have 2 trees!)
Anyway.
Ever since little Lucy was born, my fabulous in-law's have done the 12-days of Christmas for us!
It's something we look forward to every year now, and especially now that little Lucy is SO into Christmas this year! She is so excited about everything this holiday season, and especially our new Elf that came to live at our house!
On Day 1, we opened up our gift to such a great surprise! This new elf! We were told that this Elf had come to live at our home this holiday season, and that we needed to name him, as he was now part of our family! If you sprinkle special snowflakes on him at night, he comes to life while we are sleeping and can cause some serious mischief, or do good deeds! Lucy thinks this is pretty cool, and probably isn't having as much as her parents are- but still, we love our Elf.
Lucy had maybe watched Frosty the snowman a couple times this week, so she fittingly named our Elf, 'Frosty the Elf'. =)
Not Lucy's best kodak moment... but I just love Clara's chubby legs and sweet smile!
The first night 'Frosty' got out Lucy's blocks and built a tower in our living room while she was asleep!
on Day 2 we received the movie, 'The Happy Elf'-- Lucy LOVED it of course, and we woke up to our little Elf in the fridge who turned the milk green!
Tonight Lucy opened up our surprise of her and Clara's own new Elf Christmas books, and mommy and daddy got a fun new Christmas puzzle-- I love puzzles at Christmas!
(and nevermind who opens presents in the bathroom?? Haha. =))
We'll have to see what kind of mischief our elf comes up with tonight!
He might need some ideas... Hint hint!!
We babysat our cute nieces Blake and Callie tonight, and I can't get over how cute these two are... I call them 'Baldy 1' and 'Baldy 2'. They really could be twins... This is Clara's first exposure to 'Baby Einstein'! She was obviously loving it. These two seriously are so cute together. They just sit and steal each other's toys, socks, and drool all over everything. I love them!
Callie is 6 1/2 months, Clara is 7 1/2 months
and also.... stealing pictures from Bonnie's blog, but we had a family party a couple weeks ago, and I've been a complete slacker at taking pictures! We got together with the Peterson side of the family-- You know the side of the family that no one sees too often.... But it was so good to see everyone, and have an excuse to hang out with family and eat delicous pie! Especially because Tyler was gone that weekend in North Dakota... more on that later...
Lucy and her favorite uncle Kevin! He seriously is the cutest with Lucy and Blake. They have SO much fun playing with Kev everytime we go over there.

You are such a fun mom! Your girls are so so cute!
