Family & Christmas goodness!

We made it to Utah! The girls did so well on the plane, and Clara even got a Looong nap on our 2 1/2 hr layover! 
 The girls were SO excited to get to Grandma Carrie's house! My parents tree is HUGE and the girls loved it!
 We were able to cross paths with Ben & Carrie and hang out with them for a few hours Saturday night when we got there, and got some grandkid pictures taken Sunday morning before they headed back to Oregon! Despite the picture below, I do believe they got some good pictures of these cute kiddos!

 Monday, we headed down to City Creek with my mom and Candace!
I love Candace's perry sweatshirt... she's such a weirdo. But Kneaders is sooo good!
 Clara also learned to lick her place... she is super awesome. and Grandma got lots of snuggles!
 My dear friend Megan came over for lunch Tuesday. It was so good to see her, and of course cute Knox! Him and Clara are 2 days apart... we are already arranging their marriage! 
 That night we headed down to Fashion Place and seriously had the best dinner EVER at California Pizza Kitchen. It was amazing... and Co-Co got some serious shopping in! Haha. Love her!!
 Wednesday night I met up with Michelle and Emily for dessert at Gourmandise in SLC! and oh my gosh.. it was amazing! Look at all of those desserts!
 We had the best time, and to make things even better... Emily's car ran out of gas while she was dropping me off at mine and we sat in the car talking forever....! Luckily there was a gas station across the street, but the coasting only got so far and me and Michelle had to get out and push... It was awesome! Luckily we encountered some nice men to helped us get to the gas station... it was hilarious! 
 Love love love these girls!
 Lucy did a lot of this while at Grandma Carrie's... she LOVES the iPad!
 We met Michelle for lunch one day, and Lucy was SO excited to see Izzy again! They are the cutest little friends!
 Thanks to my fabulous mother in law for watching the girls, and my fabulous parents for taking me, I was able to go skiing Friday! I was SO excited... I seriously love skiing more than anything... and Snowbasin!
 
 It's seriously SO beautiful. I miss the mountains!
 Clara had a few rough nights, and is officially a BIG baby! Look at those pig-tails along with her binky, blanky, and bottle. i love her.
 Tyler got into town Friday night! Yay! We were able to hang out with his family a little Friday and Saturday, and went to dinner with his mom and dad Saturday night. Afterwards we took Lucy and Clara to drive through the Layton lights! Along with everyone else in Utah... Haha
 we played with Jessi's new puppy, Indy, a LOT! Isn't he the cutest thing ever!?
 Tyler surprised me with the best Christmas present! We spent the 23rd up at the Alaskan Inn up Ogden Canyon! It was so awesome to just hang out and relax! It started snowing, and was so much fun. Plus he got me chocolate covered strawberries... my favorite thing ever!

    I love your posts! Tyler gets major props for being such a wonderful guy. Ahhh I'm dreaming of the time Alex and I will get out on a retreat of our own.

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
