Thumbelina

This cute little Ballerina had her second Ballet performance, and first ever big production! This year Mr. Rinat had Act 1 be Thumbelina- which was a 'petit ballet', where all the leading roles were the Intermediate girls, and a few young advanced dancers, and the rest all of the beginner girls, then Act 2 was 'A Mid Summer Nights Dream' with all of the advanced girls. Lucy's class just had a small part in the Finale, but she was SO excited none the less! It's kind of a pain because they had rehearsals Monday-Thursday, then the performance Friday, and Saturday, but Lucy LOVED it! I think the rehearsals are just killer because it's hard to not come for just your class time, but Mr. Rinat wants everything in perfect order, then to stay for the end for curtain call, etc... etc.. But the man puts on a good show! And Lucy loves it! So you just have to plan out one week of nothing but Ballet!

We were also super excited to watch because our favorite 11 year old girl ever, miss Ivy, was one of the lead roles as Mrs. Toad! And she was fabulous! Clara LOVED watching all of the rehearsals too!

I'll try and post the video somewhere, but They did the finale with the advanced girls being their big flowers and dancing with them, lifting them up, etc... It was so cute! Lucy loves being on stage! She also LOVED her partner Jocelyn, and this cute girl Amelia.

Clara sat so still and LOVED all the music. She came with Tyler the first night, the next night Tyler was in Utah again, so she stayed home with a babysitter! Love this little cutie!

Lucy love, loves Ivy. So does Clara! I yelled, "Go Ivy!" When she came on as Mrs. Toad, and then Clara continued to yell, "Go Ivy!!" Through the entire rest of the performance... Awesome.

Lucy of course was obsessed with the prince... so she was talking to him ALL the time!

Lucy wanted to stay both times after intermission to watch the 'big girls dance' and LOVED it. Here she is with her new set of grandparents- Haha, Ruby's Grandma and Grandpa were here to see it, and Lucy adopted them as her own! Maybe next year ours can come!?

Here she is with cute Amelia again, who is not 16 like you are thinking- 11. What!? Yep. And she's one of the main advanced girls, She's just gorgeous to watch. Lucy pretty much idolizes her!
