a Birthday Party for Clara!

on Friday May 3rd we had a little Birthday party for Clara and our cute friend Anson! Friday was Anson's birthday and since we were out of town the weekend before we decided to just combine! Celeste is one of my best friends up here so it worked out perfectly! 
Her cute mother in law was in town and is like party planner super woman! She made everyone delicious pulled pork sandwiches, and everyone just brought a side! I love big parties at the park! We have such fabulous friends and I love seeing these huge hoards of kids just run wild! It's awesome! We had Clara's 1st Birthday party HERE last year!
Tyler actually ended up driving down to Utah that weekend so he missed it... That's another story for another time, but the next weekend was Lucy's dance recital, so we decided this was better for him to miss- Lucy would have been CRUSHED had he missed that, and alas... Clara is only 2. She will have many more birthday parties to come! We missed him none the less!

It was a little more chilly than last year, but we still had a blast!

Clara was freezing and as usual at first all of the people kind overwhelmed her, so she snuggled in a blanket for a while watching Minnie Mouse, but she did warm up eventually. Bless her...

I love this so much- cute Jenny is now our ward Family History Specialist, so her and the Bish- Celeste's cute Father in law, are always chatting Family History. She's a total nerd. Love it.

Us, Barlow's, Wistisen's, Winn's, Gardner's, Thompsons, Davies, Noel's, Jacob's, Wilhelm's, Romesha's, Woodland's, Wambeke's, and I'm sure I am missing some... But we sure are grateful for all these fabulous people!
This is me trying to light the candles unsuccessfully... the wind was brutal! Alas... They are turning 2, and 3... Let's hope they forget the fire was imaginary! 
Clara looks super happy right? And so does Anson? It was pretty cold at this point, and I'm pretty sure Clara was ready for bed! Poor thing. I love her so!

I forgot to take a picture of the cake cut... Huh. I think you get a little glimpse below- Betty always seems to pull through for me and a little food coloring of course... I love these cuties with Lucy's friend Eva!

We had such a fun night with friends and ended the night warming up at home! I tried to get a picture of Clara in her cute Birthday Girl outfit- That Lucy wore on her 2nd Birthday HERE, and this is what I got...

    Are your girls the cutest or WHAT?! I can see why though...their mama is strikingly gorgeous! It's fun for me to see what great friendships you have made since moving...I can tell that you all have so much fun together!

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
