Clara turns 2, and an Art Show for Lu!

Oh how I love this little crazy girl!

We made it home from Hawaii Saturday evening, and didn't have much time to recover as Tyler was teaching our Sunday school class the next day at church, Lucy had her art show after church, and of course... Clara turned 2 the next day!
We all managed to wake up at 11:15am... Huh, Church starts at 11:30, so we missed the first hour and hurried to get there in time for Ty to teach! Haha... After church we headed straight to Lucy's art show so she could show us some of her beautiful masterpieces she has been working on at pre-school!

 Clara was SO excited to be there, and of course we saw a few other families from church that made the drop on the way home!- Here's Clara with her cute BFF Georgia! 
 And take a gander at our latest family picture! Just perfect!
 Here's Lucy one of her little best friends- Julia. They're in different classes this year, but will be in the same class next year!
 I love these cuties! Good job Lucy!
 Daddy had to leave to go Home Teaching, but as soon as he got home we got to open presents! Yay!
 Clara got a fun Minnie Mouse backpack for our trip, but she got to open some Minnie Mouse figurines- which she was THRILLED about! And her big gift was a new Vacuum!
 It's pretty sweet- it even actually sucks some things up, so I like to think my floors are getting vacuumed a little more often- right!? 
 We got some Minnie Mouse cupcakes from the store, and she was SO excited to sing Happy Birthday again! She had been singing it to herself all day!
 She wasn't so sure about blowing those candles out... so we had to blow them out for her, then she of course wanted to blow them out herself so we re-lit them and she finally made her wish! ;-)
I can't get enough of this cute girl! I swear all of the sudden she is like a Toddler! She is walking everywhere on her own- up and down our 3 flights of stairs everyday, can run SO fast, and does literally every. single. thing. Lucy does. I can't get over how cute they are together! I am SO SO glad we had them close together, because they are the best of friends! Now I just need to decide when I'm ready to do that all over again! Haha... It's hard because now I feel like Lucy and Clara are both at such independent stages, it really is so easy to take them almost anywhere! 

We love you Clara Mae! I can't believe my baby is 2! Lucy still tells everyone that Clara is her 'baby sister'. And calls her, 'my baby' everywhere they go-- I love that her baby is 2! Haha. 

You bring us so much joy Clara Mae! We love you so so much! You light up any room you walk into with your great huge smile, your sweet singing voice, and all of that sass! ;-) I hope your cheese face never leaves! 

And even birthday girls have to go to time-out....

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
