It's a BOY!!

While we were in Utah I finally convinced Tyler to go to Fetal Fotos so that we could find out what we were having with all of our families in town! We went the day before Father's Day, and I was still worried I was going to be not quite far enough along for them to really tell-- I was just 2 days shy of 17 weeks! We went in and it went so quickly-- baby was NOT shy at all, and it was VERY clear that we were having a BOY! Yay! We both kind of thought all along that baby was a boy, but for that same reason I also thought it was a girl! I still am not quite sure what to do with a penis... but you know! Haha! I'm pretty used to little girls around here, but I am so glad I get to have a son! And Lucy is pretty excited to have a little brother! Clara claims she only wants a sister... but she usually just claims whatever she knows is what people don't want to hear! Typical her! ;-) And not the best photo, but here is a shot of baby at our 17 week ultrasound at Fetal Fotos!
 We went out to dinner and bought a couple of little boy outfits that night, then headed back up to Kaysville to spread the good news! We gave Tyler's dad his Fathers Day card and let them know that the Crosland name will live on! Of the soon to be 10 Grandkids on the Crosland side, this is only the 3rd boy, and only the 2nd with the Crosland name, so Tyler's mom was SUPER excited!
We let me parents open up a present with a baby boy outfit in it the next morning at Bear Lake!

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
