Utah Summer Fun!
We had so much fun in Utah for the few weeks we were there! We were actually there 4.5 weeks, June 8- July 10, but spent over a week in Lake Powell, then another week in Bear Lake and Idaho, and then it was the 4th of July, etc... So it seriously flew by! Especially after spending the entire summer there last year, we were cramming things in until the very end!
We did so many fun things like....
Swim at Oakridge
Have lots of playtime at Grandma Carrie's house with cousins! And lots of playing the backyard with Lucy's favorite neighbor boy- Porter.
Finally got to meet Jessi's sweetest baby Oakley!
Lunch dates with Grandma and Auntie Coco!
Lots of drinks at Fiiz and playing at Station Park!
Church with Grandma!
The dentist! Lucy luckily had no more cavities- I'm pretty sure ever tooth has had one before, so you know... and Clara had her first 'real' appointment. Unfortunately she had 6 'small' cavities. You would never know it, her teeth look absolutely perfect! But compared to Lucy's 14 cavities, crown, and tooth pulled at this age... it was easy to handle! She did her cleaning like a champ, and came back for 2 follow up visits to get all the cavities filled like no big deal! This girl seriously knows how to turn on the charm for people! It kills me! She's pretty adorable!
We finally made it to Farmington Pool where Lucy mastered the high dive, and Clara the low dive! These two are seriously fish!
and Finally made it to Cherry Hill with double cousins! I'm so glad both of our families are close at times like these! We love getting together with everyone! The girls absolutely love Cherry Hill and had so much fun swimming, doing Cardiac Canyon, the Dragon Slides, etc... etc...
Another day at Station Park!
and Daddy made it! Cute Tyler drove all of Thursday night basically to play with us all day Friday, and Saturday, and drove all the way back Sunday! He's the best! We had so much fun swimming at Farmington Pool again with Porter, Erika, Quin, Heidi, Ty's Mom and Dad, and my Mom and Cheryl! The girls were so excited to show everyone their diving board skills, and Clara even did the high dive- like 8 times!
Friday night we met up with all of Tyler's family at Red Robin! We did this last year too actually! I think we should make it a 3rd of July tradition- just saying! The girls were totally wiped out, but still having so much fun with all of their cousins!
4th of July post to come!
On the 5th we said goodbye to Tyler and headed to Oakley's blessing!
cute Clara- the ever present Photo bomber!
Monday we headed to Lagoon! My mom won a couple of free tickets, and the girls-- and Cheryl-- had been dying to go! We luckily went on the same day as Amy and Luke and had so much fun with them too! Lucy and Blake did almost all the Roller Coasters, so it was fun to have Callie there too to have a friend for Clara to ride all the kiddie rides with!
We of course got soaked on Rattle Snake Rapids! I always dang near jump out of the boat, and Lucy just loves it!
So much fun with cousins!
So so happy Aunt Cheryl is back!
and truly the scariest ride at Lagoon- making sure the kids to slide out to their deaths below! Ahhhh!
I didn't think Lucy was tall enough to do Colossus, but she was, and was SO excited to go! There was like no line at all and we did it twice! I'm sure my baby had fun as well! Haha! But she absolutely loved it, and went on to do almost every other roller coaster there!
While my dad and Cheryl took Lucy, and Amy and Luke took Blake on the other roller coasters my mom and I took Callie and Clara. They're pretty dang cute!
Luke took his GoPro on Wiked and this is their faces as they went up and over that huge vertical drop! Haha! They both said it was the scariest one. So funny!!
Such a fun day!
and the next day Clara and I were up bright and early to be back at the Dentist to finish up those dang cavities!
Luckily I was there for Bonnie's birthday so we had an awesome girls lunch at the Dodo, and shopping at Trader Joe's!
and were maybe just a little worn out at this point of the trip...
We were able to meet up with almost all of my high school girlfriends up at Emily's in-law's Pool! It was totally rainy and cold, but when you have a hot pool, the kids didn't care at all! We had kids everywhere, it was hilarious.
Tiffany, me, Heather, Ashley, Shelley, Paige, Megan, Emily, and we missed Michelle who left early!
We have 19 kids between us, and had 17 in the pool that day! and we all made it out alive!
That night I finally made it to the Temple with my mom and dad and Cheryl. It's always so much more meaningful to be there with family! We had a yummy dinner afterwards with Coco too!
I finished up some last minute errands Thursday morning and left Thursday afternoon for Billings! I was way too exhausted to make it all the way home in one day, but we made it home Friday afternoon safe and sound! It was such a fun trip, and I'm still trying to work out a way to get back there before school starts again! We'll just have to see! ;-)
