What an eventful week and weekend... Well as many of you know one of my best friends all growing up has been Kameron Hoskins- he is currently serving a mission in Chicago, but we still exchange letters every couple months or so. We have been best friends since like 5th grade- our mom's are good friends, and our little brothers are best friends. His family lives about 3 houses down from mine. His dad has been sick for a long time, but when I got a letter from him this past week saying that his dad was doing a lot worse and wasn't expected to make it past the next couple weeks I was a little surprised. He then asked me to go see his dad for him, and said it would mean a lot to him since we have been such good friends for a long time. Well Tuesday morning my mom called to let me know his dad had passed away the night before. It wasn't such a sad thing because he had been sick for so long, but my thoughts immediately went to Kameron and his family. To make a long story short- Kam (Elder Hoskins) ended up flying in on Friday morning and me and Tyler were able to go over and say hi. It was so good to see him, and to see how much his testimony has grown and he has grown over the last year and a half. Me and Ty were able to see him last summer as well when we were living in Chicago, but it definately has been a while! It was such a blessing to hear him talk about his dad, and his family. He has such a testimony of the plan of salavation. We just talked about how hard it would be for someone to not know they really were going to see their family members again after they passed away. It really makes you realize how lucky we are to know and have a testimony of the plan of salvation, and to know that his dad- Mark- is really in a better place and that Kam and his family will see him again some day. The Hoskins family is one of the strongest families I know- Kameron and his brothers have been the 'men' of the house for a long time. I know that their family will be just fine, and that as hard as something like this is, that it really is for the best.

For all of you that knew Mark- and the Hoskins family- his viewing was tonight, and the funeral is tomorrow at 11am at the Haight Creek Stake Center (the church just behind the Hoskins' home)

On a bit of a lighter note- Halloween was great. My girls had to cheer at game, but we were lucky enough to lose (haha.... I'm done going to football games for the year) and to get done early. My mom had her traditional neighborhood garage party and we all enjoyed soup and hot dogs! Yum!! Me and Ty got invited to a Halloween Party, but I hate finding a costume- I love Halloween, but hate finding a costume. So I decided I wouldn't worry about finding one and would just dig through my mom's dress ups right before we left. Ty found an excellent dancer/porn star/outfit... haha.. and I was a witch-- there is only so much I can fit into right now! Coleen (my second mother, and mom's BFF...haha..)then decided to draw a face on my belly. So for our little girls' first Halloween she was a jack o'lantern. You will have to see the pictures, because it looks like a real pumpkin- not my belly!!
<--- Yes that is my Belly. Not a pumpkin!!
