Thoughts.
Just blogging today. No real reason.
To compete or not to compete. That is the question. I made the mistake of letting my girls vote this year for competition. (My cheerleaders that is.) I haven't heard back from everyone yet, but basically it's all the new girls really want to compete, and the returners don't. And I totally get why the returners don't want to, it was totally my learning year, and well really I just made a lot of mistakes. I also didn't realize, or really get how important games are to them, and I let competition totally take preference over practicing for games. I have a ton of great ideas for this year, and I have no doubt in my mind that they will be so much better, and a lot more well rounded with balancing games and such... Did I mention that the whole reason I coach is because I like competing? Let me know your opinion-- do we compete or not??
Went to gateway today with my mom, and her cute friend Suzanne. The weather was so great! I am SO excited for summer-- Lake Powell really. And well just warm weather. I love it. We shopped today for like 4 hours-- way long, but overall great. Got a cute dress for Lucy's blessing this Sunday! Lucy was a trooper. Just toally hung out while we shopped!
Tyler just informed me that the 'Nesquick' chocolate milk stuff he has been drinking, is apparantly expired for about a year. His mom gave it to him. Oh Tyler. that's discusting. He informs me often that things are expired, and sees nothing wrong with it. I, on the other hand am an expiration date freak. Ewww...
American Idol Tonight. Not the greatest. I still think Adam is good, but looks like a girl. Love Allison, but thought she would do better than she did tonight. Danny- uhm you just screamed bloody murder.. and I like Kris. Think he is OH so cute.
Can't wait for So You Think You Can Dance...
Here is a picture of Lucy on Sunday. She kinda looks like Minnie Mouse. But SO cute.

I think you should definitely compete! I learned with my team last year that competing gave them some motivation to work hard. Even though we didn't ever win, the girls still had something to strive for. They were used to getting last place and at our league competition we placed 5th out of 12. Even though most teams wouldn't be happy about 5th, my team was stoked! Once competition was over in December, no one worked hard at practice anymore. It was like pulling teeth to get them to do anything. I think if you don't compete you will lose them halfway through the year and have to drag your feet to finish it out...so I say go for it!
