it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. ReplyDeleteI just got done reading the Lux series by Anna Godbergson and I loved them! The 4th one is coming out this October. I normally hate reading but over the past year I have been hooked. I think you'll love the series!

If you are ok with starting a series book, read The Hunger Games. Also, Night by Elie Wiesel is really good

Hmm...I don't have many books coming to my head...but I am in the course of reading the Work and the Glory books (nerd I know) but they are way good!

ReplyDeleteShane and I both recently read the Children of the Promise series and they were FABULOUS! Easy reading and very addicting. They are about a few LDS familes suffering during WWII...WWII books are always good :)I'd be happy to let you borrow ours if you can't find them at the Library!

ReplyDeleteI have a few... atonement, water for elephants, the kite runner... a good church book is the secret journal of brett colton. It's a good one. I actually am in need of the same thing, so I joined Oprah's book club. It's free, and you can do it too. The book this month is the story of Edgar Sawtelle. I haven't started reading it yet, but I listened to Oprah and the author talking about it and it sounds really good. Plus it's going to be turned into 3 books. BONUS!!! You should check it out!
ReplyDeleteCarly....read A Thousand Splendid Suns...I finished it a couple days ago and it was amazing. If you would like a deeper understanding with a good story involved of the Iranian, Afghan women, read it!! So good....ah!!! :) Love ya girl!
