ND Parade & Zac Brown Band

July 21st started off the greatest event in North Dakota--- Yep, the state fair!

There was an awesome parade at 9:15 in the morning! It was awesome. I wasn't even sweating! Come on Kaysville- jump on the early morning parade band wagon! SOOO much better!
We got great seats, watched the 5k racers run by to start the parade, and got SO much candy! Seriously. I was in tutti-frutti penny candy heaven. And still am- we got SO much!
 
We met up with our friends Mark Noel, and Amy and Stewart.
 Since we live in ND, we saw SO many huge tractors/trucks/ and Lucy was so excited to see this Helicopter!

Tyler and I bought 'Grandstand' Passes that got us into all of the concerts at the fair, and the first night was Zac Brown Band. We got there early enough to check out all of the amazing food, and of course to people watch. Check out the awesome cheek piercing of the chick on our picture below. Love it.
 The fair is literally the biggest event in North Dakota, and it totally kicks Utah's fair's trash. 
Tyler got a super awesome chicken quesadilla- random, and i got some delicous mini doughnuts and a smoothie. Awesome dinner right? Also- Not one, but TWO old men cowboys asked where I got my boots- Target. I thought it was pretty funny.
 There's a reason we married each other... 
so Zac Brown Band was INCREDIBLE! Seriously-- if you ever get the chance to go see them please do! They are the most incredible musicians I have EVER seen, and it was SO much fun to watch them!
Still to come... Days 2-6 of the fair. Haha! There is only so much to do here, we had to take full advantage of the awesomeness of the fair!

    LOVE Zac Brown Band...how great that you were able to see them in concert!
    Just last night I was thinking about how excited I was for the Utah State Fair...well, after seeing just a few of these pictures I'm beginning to doubt Utah's State Fair awesomeness. Oh well, I'll still head down for a funnel cake and rooster watching! ;)
    Can't wait to see more of your amazing state fair!

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
