Lucy Jane- 3 1/2
all about Lucy.
I apologize for the lack of blogging, but I had this post completely written and ready to publish, and blogger wouldn't let me publish for some reason, and it didn't save... Erggg...
So i had to give it a little while before I could write the entire thing over again!
I just wanted to give a little update on Lucy, since I did one on Clara!
Lucy Jane is such a fun, life of the party little girl! She loves having her hair down, so it's long and soft. As she calls it-- haha. She doesn't love me doing her hair, but once we can decide on the type of princess hair we're going to do for the day, she is easily convinced. (and/or bribed....)
She is inbetween the nap and no/nap stage right now, so she crashes a lot of random places when she is really tired, but if she has no nap she will go to bed at 8 o'clock, and if she does it's more like 10:30/11-- not cool. So we usually opt for the earlier bed time!
Like I said, Lucy loves to be the life of the party, and has SO many little friends out here! There a TON of 3 year old girls- for example: Here are Skye, and Ashlyn at the park with her, plus there are: Ju Ju(Julia), Emma, Sabra, Alize, Eva W., Eva B., Ruby, etc... I know I am missing some, and there even a bunch of 3 year old boys too, but wherever we go Lucy has at least 2-3 little friends to play with! She gets so excited to play with her friends, and is just SO excited about life. If you know Lucy, you know what I mean. She is so animated about everything, and is such a Go-er!
Lucy is also a wonderful dancer and singer, but pretty uncoordinated on other stuff! She can't really figure out how to get the pedaling thing down on a bike, it's pretty funny- probably because we've never really had anywhere for her to ride a bike! My cute in-laws have gotten her two different bikes, and she's ridden them like 5x each. They almost have the grass and sidewalks finished at our apartment building, so hopefully we can work on that!
Lucy loves the water, and we have loved the Velva Pool- it's 20 minutes away, because the pool here in Minot flooded last summer and they have yet to fix it, and they have this little Splash Pad at Oak Park. We're at one or the other pretty much every day!
Lucy, with Skye and Emma. Our turn for babysitting last month!
It was our turn to babysit down at the Temple for our ward, and this cute lady was there painting faces. The kids had SO much fun, and Lucy loved her beautiful face!
Lucy is defnitely a girly-girl and LOVES singing and dancing. She could listen to her 'songs' all day long and can sing every word to all the princess songs, and tons of primary songs! She loves to sing, and sings to herself all day long. She even can sing along to a lot of the country songs I listen to on the radio! She also loves for me to paint her nail, and put on my make up!
So I asked Lucy her 'favorites' when she turned 3, and I'm finally getting around to posting them! (She's 3 and half now!)
Color? purple, pink, yellow, blue, orange, red... (really it's purple!)
Toy? purple horse and baby horse. (her my little pony!) (Now her favorite is the miniature figurine Kangaroo, we call her 'Kanga' and she goes EVERYWHERE with us!)
Fruit? Strawberries
Movie? Toy Story & Tangled (she loves ALL and ANY movie. Seriously!)
TV Show? Dinosaur Train and Super Why
Food? Toast with white cheese, cheese sandwich, mac and cheese, pancakes, crepes, cheese, and fruit!
Outfit? Rapunzel Dress. (Luckily she still lets me dress her!)
Game? Candy Land
Animal? Horse!
Song? E-I-E-I-O..., I am Child of God, I love to see the Temple, and the 'Bird Song' (My Heavenly Father Loves Me). She has me sing those 3 primary songs to her her every night before she goes to sleep.
Book? Twas' the Night Before Round Up, Pinkalicious, Llama Llama Red Pajama
Best Friend? Blake and Skye
She also wants to marry Snow White in the temple when she goes up!
She is still super attached to her Purple Blanky (and washcloth... the matching burpcloth that matches the blanket!), and loves all of her 'baby animals'!
Lucy is very independent and can play by herself in her room for a long time during the day!
Whenever Clara is being naughty or bugging her I hear her yell, "CLARA MAE CROSLAND!!" It's so funny- she must hear me yell that all the time!
We love you Lucy Jane! Thanks for being SO much fun, she's my best little friend!
