a quick quick utah trip
While my mom was here we got the news that Tyler's Grandma LaRae had passed away. She had suffered from Dementia for a while, but was still in fairly good health. She had been up and eaten breakfast and was sitting on the couch while the rest home workers got her bed ready for her morning nap- they turned around and she had passed. Tyler's Grandpa passed away not too long after we got married, so we know they are so happy to be together again in heaven! I will write more about that when I blog about her funeral- but after looking into plane tickets for Tyler we decided to bite the bullet and just drive so we all could be there! The drive went well, and we got there late late Tuesday night/early Wednesday morning. We had such a relaxing day! I was able to go for a nice long run OUTSIDE- Hallelujah! And Tyler took the girls to play at his mom's before we had the viewing that afternoon. We had a nice afternoon with family at the viewing and had an amazing dinner at Vito's-- the best Philly cheesesteak I've ever had in my life. Yum. I spent the night at my mom's with my family before my mom headed off to Arizona the next day. Talk about crazy timing.
Tyler got an early Birthday present from his parents! I'm pretty sure his dad is stocking up for the apocalypse.... I'm kidding. Sort of.
After the funeral we picked up pizza and met everyone out at the Farm. The girls couldn't wait to see Rio! They maybe have forgotten the other horses even exist.... Haha!
We played a little baseball- thanks uncle Stefan!
and Clara had like 25 potty breaks.
and Logan is the cutest baby in the whole world. like ever. everrrr... I mean look at that face!?
and just to show you all how good my form is...
or wait... is that me missing the ball? Nicceeee.
The Crosland's are the best. We had such a good day- can't wait to be back out there this summer!
Friday I woke up and put on my running clothes.... then we went to Granny Annie's for breakfast... where I had a delightful cinnamon and sugar scone... then I went shopping for a prom dress with Candace... and ate at Habit burger after that... The girls were pretty pumped about ice cream and the park though. I really think there's nothing they love more!
Friday night we went to see Divergent with Amy & Luke, and Tyler's parents! It was SO good! I just finished the third book and am so disappointed by the end though. Lame. We topped the night off with a little chick-fil-a. It's the little things Utah- you're killing me! I need good food!
I came home to these littles playing with their Grandpa and Candace. We're pretty lucky!
Saturday I met up with my cute friends Megan and Heather for lunch! It felt so good just to sit outside and let our kids play! I have really been missing the sunshine! And I love these two. Meggy has the most beautiful newborn boy, and Heather's pregnant with her second. I can't believe we'll all have two kids! Geez!
We spent the afternoon playing at Boondocks with the Crosland fam. The kid's most favorite place ever!
We ended the night by meeting (most) of my family for dinner at Red Robin! It was delicious! Thanks dad!
and there ya have it. The shortest trip ever. But we seriously have the best family ever. Love you all! See ya in June!
