Easter
We had a fabulous Easter! I think I've mentioned this before, but I am Lucy's primary teacher and it was so much fun to teach her little class all about the true meaning of Easter. Tyler and I spoke in church a couple years ago on Easter and for my talk I decided just to go through the whole story of Christ's crucifixion and his resurrection and it was so emotional. I think that we get so caught up in everyday life and nit-picky things that we forget that the center of our church and our main focus is the savior, and how we can be more like him, serve him, etc... General Conference this year was incredible as usual, but I loved that the overall message seemed to be one of Love. Christ's greatest commandment is to love him, and love one another. That is what is the most important! And what a great time of year at Easter to remember that!
The girls are still young enough that they are pretty oblivious to some things... Haha. We don't have church until 3 o'clock so Tyler and I slept in while the girls played for a couple hours that morning. We hide their Easter baskets, so they had no idea they were even there! After we finally reminded them that the Easter bunny came they went on the hunt and came back successful!
They both got a new outfit, socks, some treats, bubbles, a pez, and mom and dad got them some more mini princess barbies from Disneyland! They were pretty excited about their loot!
We were running late, yes for 3 o'clock church, and Lucy was refusing to take pictures. So Clara is all you get!
Clara's turned into such a little ham!
Love all these cute girls after church! Apparently we were on the same page as the Noel family! Haha.
We headed over to the Noel's for Easter Dinner! Along with the Jacobs, and the McRae's.
Jaymie, me, Jenny, and Kami
This is Tyler's friend Matt-- he's like 6' 8". and Not small. Tyler and him go to lunch rather often and it always makes me happy thinking of the sight of them walking in together somewhere. Tyler is 5' 5" if you didn't know... Hahaha. We love Matt- and his mustache.
Love these two girls. We had the best dinner everrrrr. I made Tyler's mom's Rolls, and some amazing carmelized Green beans, and carrots. Then we had the most mazing scalloped potatoes everrrr, ham, 8 layer jello, Roast, fruit, etc... It was so so good. And so worth a cheat day on Whole30! ;-)
and Eleanor is probably the reason we don't have 3 kids..... I'm joking sort of. But she has for sure help curb my baby hunger! She is the cutest thing ever, and I love her.
and the after food baby... the question is... which one of us is really pregnant!?
A couple days later Jaymie and I managed to throw together last second an Easter egg hunt for our girls! Better late than never right!?
after the hunt the girls put on a show for us on the amphitheater stage... Jaymie and i of course jumped in with our own version of 'the coronation day song' from Frozen. Other parents were staring.... It's hard work being the cool moms. ;-)
Until next year! Farewell Easter!
