Lake Powell 2014: Meet the Peeps

We had a pretty amazing time at Lake Powell this year! Before I dump my posts with a million pictures, I thought it would be nice to meet the crew! This year we had all 19 Croslands aboard! As well as our dear family friend, Sandy. So without further adieu.... The Accolade crew.
The Captain. aka: Papa Jeff. The man in charge, and the man responsible for this trip! Thank you Papa!
Grandma Bonnie. aka: everyone's favorite person! She's the best snuggler and story book reader!
Uncle Ben/Dr. Ben: The oldest. The favorite child. Other than Jessi- Duh! ;-)
Aunt Carrie: Royal Rumble Queen, and best expressions while playing 'Bean Boozled'!
 Uncle Luke: well, this picture just describes him perfectly. 'nuff said!
 Aunt Amy- she's married to Luke. So obviously she just focuses on keeping everyone- especially Luke- alive. Thanks Amy! ;-)
Tyler- 'Old Man Crosland'. He literally knows everything. It's very valuable to have someone so knowledgable around all the time! Seriously, it is. Oh, and I love him the most!
Carly: (me) The sleeper, the up for anything partier, and the new paddle board lover!
 
Uncle Kevin: The techno-king, and really the favorite uncle!
 Uncle Stefan: the other favorite uncle ;-), the hardest worker, and the first timer!
Aunt Jessi: The fun one. the favorite one. the 2nd mother to all of our children!
Sandy: the pull apart maker, disher cleaner uper, conversation starters, words of wisdom giver!
and now for the Children. We had 8 kids under the age of 7 this year! It kept things interesting, and kept us all on our toes!
Cody: age 7: The golden boy. The protector of his 6 little girl cousins, the kayak king! the fisherman, the bravest, and the most adorable smile ever!
Blake: 5. The mother-hen, the rule-follower, the care-taker, the dare-devil, and the most Kind! She was so scared to go on the green tube from a couple years ago when she fell off and got stuck under the tube! Eeek! She finally decided to go on it, and then they all got pushed off! And what do you know, we flip the boat around and find cute Blake holding Mackayla in the water telling her everything was going to be ok! Love this sweet girl!
Macey: 5. The smart one. The snuggler. The sweet one. The talker. The cotton candy lover! I love you miss Macey! 
Lucy: 5. The skier! The friend, the person to play with, the Paddle-board companion, and beaver lover!
Clara: 3. The Spit fire. The entertainer. The emotional roller coaster/ future actress. ;-) 
Callie: The Tube Sleeper, the song creator, the imaginative one. and the Bean Boozled Queen! Oh how I love cute Callie!
 Mackayla: 2 1/2. The sweet mellow one! The mommy's girl. The tube and speedy boat lover! Sweet Mackayla!
Baby Logan: 8 months. The star! He was sick the first few days, but was SO good. We really just all love baby Logan!
 and he does cool tricks.

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) Baby Rex kept getting bigger and bigger! Dad would put Rex in his only football outfit every Saturday to watch the Utes play! Haha. Teaching him young! Rex turned 10 months old in September! hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
