Back to ND
We sure soaked up the last few days we had in Utah! We had fun playing with our grandparents and cousins! (and dogs- who could forget Indy and Bo!)
made Grandpa tell us the 'Herbert', Bear Lake Monster, and 'Bunny' story 1 thousand more times! Thanks dad!
said Goodbye to Candace as she headed down to BYU... tear!
Had a fun lunch date and Trader Joe's shopping trip with Bonnie, Amy, and Jessi.
Had a fun dinner date with all of my cute friends! It was a miracle we could all get together at the same time! Michelle, Emily, me, Paige, Heather and Megan. We have 11 kids between us now!
We had a yummy dinner at Settebellos, had cupcakes and talked outside at Station Park for forever, then Paige, Heather, and I went to see The Giver. Which was awesome! It was such a fun last girls night!
We tried to do a cute laughing picture but then I started laughing like a lunatic and maybe seriously embarrassed everyone I was with... Classic.
It was so much fun. Love these girls.
Tuesday morning Jessi and I braved the DMV-- Ugh! We came back to see the girls playing in Bo's new dog run out back! The girls were filling the new dog house with toys already!
We then headed out to the farm when Cherry Hill got rained out! Boo! We picked a ton of the most delicious fresh peaches and had fun riding the pony! Aunt Amy seriously is the best ever!
Blake's the pro rider! She's so so cute.
These girls are so lucky they get to grow up doing all of these fun things! They absolutely love the farm and love playing out there and riding the horses!
I kept the littles busy while Amy does the horse stuff. I'm sure missing these two already! I love sweet Callie and Logan!
I got everything all packed up Tuesday day. Ugh! Tuesday night we had dinner at my mom's and said goodbye to Shawn, Melissa, Carter, and Katelyn!
Later that night Lucy and Blake got to go see the play Peter Pan with Grandma and Papa! Lucy was so so excited! She has been talking about it for the last 2 weeks. She came home so tired, but couldn't wait to show me her Fairy dust Peter pan had given her and was convinced she could fly! It was so cute!
I made it to one last yoga class... tear! Seriously- thats the thing I wish I could bring here so bad! It's kind of ridiculous. And had one last run with the beautiful Utah mountains!
Wednesday morning we went to say goodbye to Blakey before she left for school and took Callie and Grandma with us to Cherry Hill!
We had a quick couple hour visit to Cherry Hill and I'm so glad we got to swimming one more time! Then we were on the road to Billings, MT!
Our drive went great and we spent the night in Billings. I had a quick Costco run in the morning and totally stocked up! We made it to Minot around 7:30pm, dropped the girls off at Jaymie's and I headed to our new place to help move in!
I had to capture what the girls thought of all of my car singing. Their mom is SO cool.
They were PACKED in there good! Unfortunately our good white bread is already about gone. Boo!
and a peek at our new place! Isn't she a beauty? Haha! We actually love it. We went with only a 2 bedroom, but are excited to have underground heated parking, an indoor pool, and a fitness center! We ended up switching back into our old ward we were in before the wards split last year. So that was the hardest part! But we still know quite a few people in our ward, and it will be great I'm sure. Lucy already found a few friends in primary. Lucy will be at the same Elementary school as my friend Jaymie's kids, so that will be nice! We're happy to be home!
We went to the school to finish Lucys information card and the girls couldn't resist playing on the playground, even in the pouring rain! They were soaked!
We have a pretty beautiful view out of our window. I'm sure it will be something sad like more apartments in no time! Boo!
Lucy REALLY wanted to help me make dinner Sunday, so I gave her a knife and taught her how to cut the chicken! I think I often underestimate what kids are capable of. She is pretty dang cute!
Back to running here isn't so bad! ;-)
We had Lucy's back to school day and Lucy got to draw a picture of what she did this summer. I love her cute handwriting and my horrible help of a horse drawing. She is the sweetest!
She is SO excited for school. There are two Lucy Jane's in her class. You should have seen how excited they both were to meet each other! It was hilarious. They just sat and held each other's hands and talked. I love this age. Clara was pretty excited to be there too!
I can't believe she's starting Kindergarten! Ah!
We met up with Jenny and Jaymie and their kids for an end of summer Ice cream treat. I love that all of these girls are back together! (and their moms! ;-))
Lucy's first day went great- post to come! But Clara was a little sad! We went to breakfast with Jaymie, Ruby, and Eleanor and Ruby came over to play for the day. I wasn't sure how it would go because Ruby is really Lucy's age and just missed the deadline, but they were so cute and played all day together. I know they will have a lot of fun this year!
We have the cutest 'secret' park just in the neighborhood next to ours. I know we'll have a lot of fun there this year!
We miss our family, friends, and yoga... but we are SO happy to be home! It feels so good just to be together as a family again. We sure like Tyler!
