Cher-bear fun, the fair, and a race

Co-Co's best photo bomb ever...
It was so nice to have Cheryl here. I hadn't seen her since Christmas... tear! She actually got to stay longer than like 5 days, and was here for 10! Wahoo. We are only 17 months apart, cheered together for 2 years in high school, and  pretty much did everything together.  It's sad we now live so far apart!

Monday we were able to escape to her in-laws home they own in Midway for a night with my mom and Coleen. It was so short, but so needed! It was so good just to get away and be able to relax and talk. Amy had my girls-- bless you Amy! We did some shopping at the outlets, had dinner at Spin City cafe, stayed up late eating candy, talking and doing yoga.... well I did yoga. They have the most amazing view out their back deck. We slept in, I had the most gorgeous run ever up by Soldier Hollow and through Midway. It was awesome!
 Seriously so gorgeous.

And I had the best time hope surprise a couple weeks ago. How freaking cute is Lucy at 6 months old? I die. And here she is exactly 5 years later... The same. Oh I love her!
cutie Clara has come into my bed super early in the morning almost every night since we've been staying at my mom's. I don't even mind. I love her!
Lucy got to see my favorite Dentist Dr. Zeh here in Layton-- I am still so paranoid about her teeth! She did a great job getting them cleaned and im hoping she's not scared for life, and she seems to do ok! Phew!
The Brock girls all were able to do a session at the Salt Lake Temple on Wednesday and it was amazing. For some idiotic reason this was my first time doing an endowment session there, and it was amazing. I could have stayed there for hours just looking at all of the gorgeous artwork, etc... It was such a neat experience and I'm so glad we got to go!
We had Bruges after... and it was pretty freaking amazing.
Thursday we went to the Davis County Fair with the Crosland girls!
 I just love these two.
It was SO hot, but the girls were in heaven!
Friday we had my dad's MBA graduation-- post to come, and Saturday was the Hobblecreek Half Marathon. I went down with my dad and his friend Doug- but the speedy men don't run with me. It is my favorite race though! It was a little too hot at the end, but I had a better race than I thought and I really wanted to beat 1:45 (I ran a 1:47 last year at this same race) and I came in at 1:44:41. I was cutting it close, but so glad I reached my goal, and got a new P.R.
Me, Dad, Doug, and Bill. I should really get more running friends. Haha....
I still can't believe summer is basically over. I'm so depressed... I just love the sunshine so much. I'm usually ready for Fall, but this year... Not so much. Maybe because I have to move again... Lucy starts Kindergarten... it will be freezing in no time. ugh! I just wish it was longer! Someday I'll live in a warm climate... mark my words! Haha.
