on my mind...
i'm up in kaysville today. Cheryl had a dentist appointment up, so lucy and i hitched a ride up here to spend the day with her and my mama. Ty had work today and was going to the jazz game tonight, so he'll be up tomorrow. We are planning a trip to the temple this weekend and have headed north to where our trusty babysitters are (aka- grandma and grandpa).
and ok,
im admitting it-
we haven't been since January.
how awful is that?
our stake is doing this program 100% for 100 days, which includes: daily personal/family scripture study and prayer, tithing, fhe, temple once a month, visiting teaching, etc... It's funny how all these things should be so basic and should be habbits in our lives, but seem to sometimes only get done really consistantly under a challenge. obviously the goal of this is to make these things more steady and constant in our lives, and i hope that is the case. whenever i realize i am kind of in a 'rut' of somehow, im always missing out on doing one of those few easy things.
i Will make these things habbits because they bring me happiness.
and that reason alone is enough for me. =)
just wanted to get that in writing.
REAL SIMPLE is simply my favorite magazine.
i steal my mom's every month.
i love it.
Reccommended to all who have interest in home, fashion, beauty, cooking, life, etc... it has it all. seriously. reading it takes some serious time, because i read it all.
i love it.
how about this fall weather?
love it!!

If you aren't too busy this weekend we neeeeeeeed to get together!!!!! Call me or text me please
ReplyDeleteI think we can all relate to this post. One thing that has made us a little more consistent about the little things is actually scheduling them. Now we are far from perfect, but this has helped. We set a 9:30 p.m. deadline for our couple scripture study and if it hasn't happened then we drop everything and do it.
ReplyDeleteOne thing that has helped with the temple is planning it in advance as a double date with another couple. That way we are accountable to go regardless of how many other things are going on. And we always look forward to it and go do something fun together after.
Thanks for a good reminder to get back to the basics. I am so bad at this sometimes.
