as of late.

I have been a complete slacker at taking pictures lately, so I had to steal this off of my mother-in-law's blog-- Thanks Bonnie! You never thought I would be stealing pictures from you, right!? Haha.

We have been busy lately, but just never seem to get the camera out for such everyday things!
potty training was a rough week for me. Haha. I laugh now, but I knew it would be hard for me, and well- it was. Not much more to say! We don't do well just 'staying home'. and for 3 days straight I think i was going crazy-- I even had a fun girls night in the middle of that at my friend emily's house, and really- I think Lucy was just driving me crazy. Bless her- and I love her dearly.
I really didn't even mind the whole clean up pee & poop thing- I think I'm just used to that at this point, she would sometimes just want to sit on the potty for like 20 minutes for fun, then get off, and then back on again for like 20 minutes, so I would finally leave the room- and then she'd get off and pee on the floor. Anyway- can't fully explain it, but Lucy is a busy busy bee, and we have so so much fun together, but like mother like daughter- we like to go out and play everyday!

Anyway. Last weekend on 11.11.11 the 'girls' and I went to the Family Christmas Gift show with Grandma Bonnie, and Cute Amy and baby Callie! Lucy was actually a really good girl for sitting in a stroller for like 3 hours, and we of course left with nothing but a new bow of all things.
We had so much fun all going to lunch together and got to meet Tyler for lunch as he now works right down by the Expo Center. 
That night my good friend Heidi and I ventured down to Fashion Place to fight the crowds at H&M!
I keep hearing from everyone that this h&m isn't great, etc... and I can agree that it wasn't as great as I thought it was going to be, BUT, I, along with almost everyone else I know, still ended up buying some things! Heidi and I had fun shopping without my kids or our husbands, and also got CPK to end the night!
Tyler and Quin stayed home with the girls and watched 'Rocky'.... haha. Thanks guys! I think we totally got the better end of the deal.
Monday we ended up back at Fashion Place to do a little Christmas shopping with my mom and Candace. Candace dances like a million hours a week, so it was the only time she had to go, and we cleaned out her closet, and well after going through puberty-- haha... she needs some new clothes!

Other than window shopping, this weekend we had a 'grandma day' at Grandma Bonnie's and Lucy and Blake had a blast playing- as usual. They made little Turkey's, and Lucy still gets so excited every time she sees it on our fridge. We also Finally watched the last Harry Potter... ah, I'm such a fan. I think I could read those books a million times and never get bored!

Things are good.
Hopefully after this next week we will have some changes in our lives, which always makes me a little nervous, but things will all work out!

So excited for Thanksgiving this week, and to just spend the long weekend hanging out with family!

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
