9 months & 3 years

These two rugrats are getting so big!
Before we left we had Lucy's 3 year appt, and Clara's 9 month appt with Dr. Doug... Here are the stats:

Clara 9 months old:
Weight: 19 lbs 3 oz- 57%
Height: 28 inches- 66%
Head: 45.2 cm- 83%

Lucy 3 years old:
Weight: 29 lbs- 35%
Height: 36 3/4 inches- 49%

Here they are in the tub last night... (Yes, I'm finally moving up in the world and got Tyler's old iphone! Woot woot-- he got a brand new one, but I'll take what I can get! Haha...)

So little updates on Clara-bara- aka C-dog.... Yep, it's stuck. Awesome.
We call her our little puppy dog- she literally follows me or tyler, and lucy everywhere we go! She sits at me or Tyler's legs whenever we are doing something and either just sits there or whines like a little puppy! She just wants attention- she is so cute. She can crawl SO fast, and pulls herself up on everything! She loves standing up at the tub when anyone is in it, and really loves playing in the bathroom. She literally eats EVERYTHING and picks everything up with her little tinny thumb and finger and eats everything off the floor.
She is taking 1-2 good naps a day, I think her schedule was totally thrown off when we moved, but we're trying to get back on it. It's usually one short nap, then one good 2 hour-ish one! She does great at night though and sleeps from about 8-7, then has a bottle and back to sleep for a little while.
She is eating 3 meals a day, and can now pretty much eat all 'real-food'. We're starting to add dairy now, but she doesn't seem to be allergic to anything yet.
She is so chunky and happy, and still just has her two bottom two teeth!
She has bright blue eyes, and is all smiles all the time! She loves her big sister Lucy, and just follows her around everywhere! They are pretty cute together.
Clara is also so LOUD! She is the loudest baby in church, and is always just like 'flapping' her arms and squaking! When she crys she will say, "mamamamamama..." its so cute!
She is definitely not as calm as I was hoping, but she is oh so sweet and fun! We love miss Clara Mae!

Lucy-goosy--Jane... she is a handful that little girl.
She has been taking this 'itty-bitty sports' class at the YMCA and it's so funny to see her a little 'shy'. She is defnitely out of her comfort zone with 5 year old little boys who are super competitive, and kind of had a harder time at first, but now she loves it. She totally just does her own thing and is her own world for half the time, but that's ok with me! She just likes holding hands with the one other girl in the class! Haha-- She loves running and having fun though!

She is still such a daddy's girl.
She is at such a bad stage where she gets SOOOO tired and awnery if she doesn't get a nap, but if she does get one she won't go to bed until like 10:30... I think I just need to seriously shorten her naps and put her down earlier for them.
She loves all friends and is still so so social. She always wants to be the center of attention.
She has quite the temper, and can get very impatient when things don't go her way.... She gets all red and stomps her feet... it's so funny, but she has been visiting time out quite a bit more though.
She has never really been the 'hitter', but she does her fair share, but is usually so sweet to Clara. She loves to hold her. Although we did just have to implement a 'no tackling Clara' rule at our house! She wants to like crawl on her... Oh dear.
She is so much fun. She loves to sing. Lucy can now spell her own name, and recognizes almost every letter with it's sound! She can count to about 20, but sometimes misses a few of the teens, and knows all of her shapes and colors. We're working on getting her into a preschool in the fall here, but they are all so freaking expensive!

Here is cute little Lucy and her daddy outside the Idaho Falls temple on our drive up here!

  1. Carly your little family is so cute! Clara reminds me of Calum. He is a little puppy dog right now too. Eating stuff at the floor and whining at our feet. So funny. Hope you are doing well in your new home. Kevin's parents lived in Minot when he was in the air force. Fun stuff. We will have to road trip and meet up in S Dakota to check out Mt Rushmore!! :) Woot woot!
