we're here!

We are here and officially moved in-- by that I mean, all the beds are set up, furniture is in place, and most dishes are unpacked-- other than that, our apartment is a disaster. It's to be expected right?

I need my mom to put away my kitchen for me! =) Our apartment is actually really nice, and I'm excited just to get everything 'settled' (as Tyler calls it...)

Lucy starts her 'itty-bitty sports' class at the YMCA tomorrow-- she is so excited! She still isn't exactly sure we moved I think, but is totally excited about making new friends and our 'new home'.

I think it will hit her next week when she will keep asking to go to Grandma Carrie's or Grandma Bonnie's house, like she does almost everyday...

Our drive went awesome- Lucy is the champion traveler! We drove about 7 hours Sunday night, then 9 Monday. Lucy only watched one movie on Tyler's phone on Sunday, then Monday took 2 long naps, and read books, and then just watched one other move on my ipod, the iPad never even came out of it's case! She is a trooper! Clara was awesome Sunday and slept 90% of the time, and Monday was good I would say 70% of the time-- she had about an hour there where she was really fussy, but I was expecting her to do much worse honestly....

We had our new Bishop here help us move in, along with a few other ward members and one of the missionaries. I'm excited to get to know people here and hopefully LOVE it! That's what I keep telling myself, "We are just going to love it so much that we stay for 2-3 years, instead of 1!! North Dakota is the best place ever!"...

You just wait... you're going to wish you moved here too!

    Glad you made it safe and sound! You really do have such a great attitude. I hope you guys do love it there, but not enough to stay for too long! Keep this blog updated so we can see what you're up to!

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
