Lucy's 3rd Birthday Party! (Round 2)


This girl had birthday month... Seriously! She got a party before we moved, and another one yesterday!
Yesterday we had 8 little girlies and their mom's over for a fun little random birthday party!
I had met 2-3 of the mom's earlier last week, then on Sunday I took some invitations to church and pretty much handed them out to women who had 3 year old little girls... Seriously....
Conversations went like this:
Me: "Hi, How are you? I'm new. How old is your little girl?"
unassuming stranger: "Uhm She's 3"
Me: "Awesome, I'm Carly. My little girl Lucy is turning 3 this week and we're having a party! Here's an invitation! Let me know if you want to come!"

Haha... But really-- It was awesome.

the goods: aka- a random assortment of leftover valentine stuff from her earlier party, and some random easter/spring stuff! I made sugar cookies, and a totally awful cake. It still tasted good, but completely fell apart when I frosted it. Awesome!

I got some masks from Hobby Lobby- (thanks for the idea Charlotte!) and let the girls paint, and glitter glue to their hearts content! We also had feathers and sequins. It was all very exciting. Haha..
Mainly the girls played in Lucy's room and had a blast playing with all of her toys though!

Lucy got so many great gifts including: a dancing barbie, some little princesses, a Minnie Mouse dress up kit, a dress, playdough, and some more art supplies! I'm sure I am missing some, but she is one spoiled little girl!

btw... I don't own a lighter. Who knew? or a platter!? among many other things that I took advantage of living my mom and tyler's mom!

Lucy was in heaven, and even pretended to blow out her candles! =) Check out that high quality cake.

We really have already met some wonderful people here and are making some great friends!
We had a little lunch-bunch thing on Thursday at my friend Amy's house, and last night we had the missionaries over for dinner after the party!
It's been a fun, busy week!


We love you sweet Lucy and can't believe you are 3 today! Ah!

    loved the pics! Emmett wants a birthday with NO girls, only boys. uhhhh can't that wait until he's like 10? Girls are a lot less busy and dangerous :) Guess I'll have to round up the boys in his primary class too haha.

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
