so i have been packing- shocking right?
 actually took some time away from playing to get a little work done tonight! anywho.
i was packing up my bookshelf and was reading my journal from right when i graduated high school basically until i had my little lucy... it was awesome. and hilarious. and totally got me thinking, and laughing and how ridiculous i was-- mainly about boys.
just read part of my journal entry from november 12, 2006 (I had met Tyler like two weeks before at the UVSC Halloween dance... classy right? Just to clarify... I didn't actually pick up on him at the dance... we met through mutual friends! =))

'Sorry it has been so long.. i need to catch up on things! Well things with (current boyfriend) were going so so well.. we like had the most amazing night in the snow, etc.. etc.. but so the night of the UVSC Halloween dance me & meg ended up with heather's brother- Porter and all of his friends ALL NIGHT.. we all went to village inn at like 2 in the morning and over at this kid jake williams (highschool boyfriends cousin... i thought that was SO awkward. Haha...) & Tyler Crosland's apt all night and I pretty much just talked with Tyler the entire evening. he is actually in my stake in kaysville- has a lil. bro my age- got home from his mission to Mexico in June & is like 5' 6" (that's pushing it- sorry babe!) & just little- but such a stud!... (i go on to talk about the kid i was currently dating for a while, then go back to tyler... awesome)... so me and tyler hung out that sunday, we went and saw his horses, then went to porter's for game night- we watched willy wonka and kinda cuddled. so that week I still hung out with (current boyfriend) and we went on a date and hung out, but then friday i went on a date with tyler and hung out with him all night and sunday we went to stake conference together in salt lake and heard president monson & faust talk- and went up to snowbasin together and hung out all day. Monday night i went over there and well after him accepting the fact that i was a complete tease and definitely wasn't going to kiss him, he made the move and we kissed!!!'

Tyler and his friends the same night... UVSC Halloween dance... he was a pretty pretty princess... love it. And love that Porter is wearing our Peter Pan dance costume...

Ok, so just a little bit, but just so funny. Tyler and I were both the same, we were both kind of dating other people when we met, and I think it's so funny that the night me and him had our first kiss, we both kissed another person the same day... Haha... What I didn't mention was that Tyler was super smooth and put his number in my phone while we sat talking at the Village Inn, and then continued to tease me all night long at their apartment, so I ended up texting him throughout the night from across the room... and the rest is history! He took me to see his horses...(which now I think is so funny, because his family yes has multiple horses, and LOVE horses, but Tyler... not so much into horses. But had obviously proved successful in the past to be a total chick-magnet!), he even played a little hard-to-get by flirting with other girls in front of me the second time we hung out... =)... but then I had him! He totally made the move and kissed me..(Even though he took me up to Snowbasin the day before and totally tried to get me to kiss him, but there was no way I was going to do that!... silly Tyler.)

Anyway. I'm totally just rambling, but it just made me laugh. I was just thinking how simple everything was... how hard that first year of marriage was, and how all i wanted was babies... Haha. And that just now I'm starting to realize how much these two cute little girls have complicated things in such a wonderful way! =)

and can i just say... I'm so so so so lucky I married Tyler! 
Everyone just breathe a deep sigh of relief I didn't marry any of my earlier boyfriends... Thanks babe!

    This post made me happy and sad all at the same time! :) Such good memories, two things though. Tylers roommate in the halloween picture, with the sombrero hat, HILARIOUS. I thought he was the funnest kid. Remember the date night at Walmart and the dollar? If you don't ask me so.funny. Second thing c401 was totally awesome and so was the fiesta with the wardies. ;) Coolest.ward.ever. :) Love you girl!

    hahaha these pictures make me feel so old!! I love how Porter is wearing MY peter pan costume and that that night happened to be the night you met your husband. I totally remember seeing Tyler at the dance and thinking his costume was hilarious. So crazy how life turns out:) Glad we've been friends through it all!

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
