as of late...
it feels so good to be home! last weekend we attended a fabulous little Halloween party by our good friends Alex & Anna! I found Tyler this awesome Obi-Won Kanobi costume in the kids section at Target, so with that in mind, I became Darth Mahl's wife.... I'm 99% I spelled that all wrong. Don't be a hater. My costumes always suck! We had yummy yummy food, and had some awesome fear-factor games! Including finding gum in this disgusting ice cold oatmeal and hot dogs and blowing a bubble, sticking your hand into a mystery spider box-- apparently I'm much more afraid of spiders than I thought! Haha. and a whip cream/gummy worm spit swap... you get the idea! Anna and Alex are awesome and we had so much fun!
Kristy and Jesika--- Anna, Kristy, and Me
Also this last week Lucy had her first field trip! We were able to walk just a few blocks over to the Fire Station! It was so fun to see and meet all of Lucy's cute friends, and to see how excited they all were to meet the Firefighters!
Cute Skye and Lucy
The kids LOVED hearing this cute fireman talk through his mask-- they thought it was hilarious!
also our neighbors washer overflowed so they had to but some fans through our walls to help dry out their apartment-- I'm so glad it wasn't us! I've also apparently gotten really into pattern mixing-- haha, and I found my dream coat! I mean, I live in North Dakota. It's October and it's already been about 35 degrees for the last week and a half-- I need it right? I'm worried I'm going to freeze this winter!
And.. we finally checked out the fun water park at the hotel in the mall! This last weekend was fall break so the kids were all out of school. The kids had SOO much fun swimming and we will definitely be back! I can't explain enough that Lucy loves the water more than anything. She is fearless and seriously just after working with my cute friend Jenny for 5 minutes she can dang near swim by herself. She is so calm and relaxed in the water, and love love loves it! She is also fearless on their huge slides! She was in heaven!
We went with my cute friends Jenny and Celeste and their kids. Yay for Fall break!
Cute Ella Joy, and Georgia. We babysat Georgia the other day, and Clara can now say, "Hi Gor-ga!" So cute! They are like the only little one outnumbered by all of these big girls, so they are the cutest little friends.
These two are such trouble makers lately-- mainly Clara. She is SO busy. Lucy was never a climber, and that is NOT the case with Clara. She opens doors, climb on any and every chair, and can now climb up our stools onto our kitchen counter. Yay! It could be so much worse. She would be a 'breaker' which she really isn't, she is just so busy and definitely KNOWS what she wants!
Lucy told me the other day, "But mom, I just want to be a Cowboy Princess!" That totally describes her!
and this now my sad mixer- i broke a beater trying to make pizza dough with my apparently sub-par mixer. Now i'm one beater down, and one step further away from a nice stand up mixer!
We are loving the Fall weather, and we feel like it's already leaving too quickly!
coming next... the coolest pumpkin patch ever!
