today.

Today it is pouring rain! the winds are over 40mph. 
we haven't left our apartment, and probably wont all day!
Lucy is sitting on the couch, falling asleep, watching Tangled, and Clara is sound asleep in her crib. My house is (mostly) clean, and I showered and put sweats on.
Tyler came home for lunch, and I made crepes. I ate 4. With nutella, bananas, and powdered sugar.
I haven't been to the gym in a week, and it's been amazing.
I slept in until 10:30, So did Clara, and Lucy sat next to me watching Disney all morning!
Last night I made this amazing Tortellini Sausage Soup from the new 'Our Best Bites' cookbook I got from my cute mama, and it was amazing.
On the dinner menu tonight is: Leftovers.

I wish there were more days like today. I think I'll wrap this one up and stick it in my pocket!

Living here has been such a huge blessing. No, things are not perfect, but Tyler has a good job that he likes, we love our apartment, I can make yummy food for dinner, and we all love the friendships we have made here. I love that I get to spend so much more time with just our little family, and I want to soak it all up while we can. I know that we will look back at this time in our lives with deep gratitude and fond memories. Things are so simple. Lucy has preschool twice a week in the morning, and Ballet once a week in the afternoon. That is the extent of my commitments, and I love it! I think I could live here in this apartment forever, even if it means carrying my groceries of 3 flights of stairs for the rest of my life. We have everything we would ever need, plus so much more. I know that sounds so cheesy, but it's true! I love the simplicity and freedom we have.
Today is a good day.
and last night Tyler rode all over the house on the wiggle rider with both girls. They sure love their daddy! I do too!

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
