Fall Food Night

So, technically it was my turn to host our little Food night we had last night, but really I didn't. Jaymie did. Her house- especially Kitchen is amazing for dinner parties, and ya... She is amazing. I'm really glad I have cool friends who pick up the slack for me! Love you Jaymie!
There are so many amazing women who live in our ward, and in our area. I am so lucky to have found so many good friends! These ladies here don't even begin to scratch the surface of all the friendships we have made while living here in Minot. We could have had 50 ladies there! Jaymie and a few friends started this cooking group a few months before I moved in, and I somehow weaseled my way in! We may have to move it to the church next time though!
 We've done a Paula Deen Night, Clean eating Night, and took a few months off- we went with a much broader theme this time, 'Fall Food', but oh my gosh was it amazing. We had so much good food! 
We had homemade doughnuts, amazing cornbread, Butternut squash pasta with a Pumpkin sauce, a yummy Pumpkin dip, this amazing Roast deliciousness over the most amazing mashed potatoes, a Butternut sqush soup, a spicy Chicken corn chowder....
 Anna's amazing homemade chinnamon-chip scones, a yummy arugula salad, a delicious apple dessert, apple cider/ginger ale floats, and these amazing sweet potatoes with bacon and marshmallows over pineapple. amazing!

 So yet again, I know this picture of me is phenomenal.... but we had a modestly relief society lesson and they showed this video of this girl doing up her top button... anyway... had to be there... hilarious... we bring it up quite often, and somehow I ended up reenacting the movie... awesome hair and all.
if you want to print it out and frame it, i totally understand.
 We'd already lost a few at this point-- I'm sure it was close to midnight here, but here's Kim, Angie, Jenny, Molly, Heather, me, Amy, Celeste, Jaymie and cute Ruby.

I love these girls. I somehow ended up getting home around 3:30... and was really glad Lucy didn't have preschool this morning. We had the most amazing food, and ended up laughing so hard my abs are sore! Then again, that's not hard to do these days... Haha.. Love you all! Thanks for having us over Jaymie!

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
