saying goodbye to utah again...
So the night of the marathon we made it back to Kaysville and sent my dad and Shawn off to Priesthood, then Coleen came over and made us her homemade Butternut squash Ravioli! Ohhh my gosh. It is seriously amazing. We also made yummy Caramel-apple streusel cheesecake, sugar cookies, and banana cookies... among other things.
Sunday we had a lazy morning watching conference, then Candace, Lucy and I headed down to Midway to pick up Cheryl and Kyle from his parents place down there! They were able to fly in for the weekend to see his new niece!
Clara is usually pretty timid around new people, but she absolutely loved Kyle!
It was also the other Kyle's birthday! Happy 20th little Buddy!!
Here's the fam hanging around the fire that night-- candace and her cute boyfriend Sam:
cute cher-bear-- I know I am looking amazing. I pretty much felt like death this whole day. actually if I was laying down or not moving, it was ok. Haha..
Monday morning we headed to have a Yummy breakfast at Kneaders, and ended up back at Target with Cheryl and Kyle.... Always the best shopping. ;-) We had a quick bite at In n' out before Cheryl and Kyle had to leave and headed over to Grandma Bonnie's!
Grandma got Lucy and Clara all of these fun Halloween books, Lucy was SO excited!
We then headed out for a fun family-fun night at the farm! Lucy of course had to pee as soon as we got there-- I'm pretty sure she just loves going in the cinder block! Haha
I feel like this is Clara's first time there where she really knows what is going on, and she was SO excited to see the horses!
Lucy was so excited to ride Rio, the pony!
Clara was so excited to ride to!
Love cute Jessi and Spjut!
Someday when we live close I'll have to have Amy teach me to actually ride--- other than walking Isaac around looking pretty stupid!
I love Clara in her carhartts....
We seriously had SO much fun-- Lucy and Clara were in heaven! The weather was perfect, and we could have stayed out there all night!
At the last second I decided to leave Tuesday afternoon and spend a night in Bozeman rather than doing it all in one day! Tuesday we hurried and packed what seemed like everything I owned... haha... we headed to Costco to get Clara a Halloween costume, and load up on bread-- awesome. We said goodbye to Mel and Carter, and Grandma Bonnie + Carrie and headed on our way!
I had multiple people tell me that they couldn't believe I could drive all that way by myself, etc.. etc.. but it's really not that bad... other than....
Clara throwing up the most throw up I have ever seen all over herself while we were driving through the canyon by Yellowstone at about 10 o'clock at night in the pitch black!
It was awesome.
I seriously finally found somewhere to pull over and got out to see the most amazing stars I have EVER seen in my entire life. It was pretty comical. The poor girl gets car sick. It's my official diagnosis.
And i'm pretty sure my car still smells like throw up-- after I washed her whole car seat cover in the washer too.
The next day was not quite as eventful, but I was still pretty exhausted and sore, and pretty exhausted, and pretty much SICK of driving! I think I figured out that I had spent over 45 hours in the car over the last week and a half... I got a ticket in Montana, and was SOO happy to finally be home Wednesday evening! You have NO idea... I am so so glad we don't have to drive home at Christmas--- and Tyler will actually be able to fly one of the ways with us! Wahoo!
We are So happy to be home! and even though we're a little new at spending a Holiday alone, we are glad to be here for Halloween and Thanksgiving.

No Carly that IS amazing that you drive all that way. You did amazing at the marathon. I hope you told everyone you ran by that you have two kids:) do you know when you going down for christmas?
