Norsk Hostfest

Lucy had her first Ballet performance! The Norsk Hostfest was the last week of September. A huge Scandinavian festival down at the state fair grounds. Awesome.
My cute friend Jenny took me to see Jeff Foxworthy opening night of the 'fest'!

Lucy performed a few different Scandinavian folk dances, they nick named the 'sweater dances' throughout the festival. They all wore these authentic sweaters, as you can see.... Haha. Lucy chose out one of the most awesome looking ones that was huge. Haha. She is such a cutie. She was in heaven with all the people staring at her, and has been doing her 'chicken dance' ever since...
I think she has ALMOST gotten the hang of skipping. =)

 None of the girls wanted to dance with this cute boy, I didn't clue in soon enough, but at the last performance I figured out he had been dancing alone, and knew Lucy would love to dance with anyone, so she had a blast dancing with him the last performance! She seriously loves everyone!
since we were leaving the next day for South Dakota/Utah; Lucy, Clara and I stayed around for a couple hours to check out the full awesomeness of the fest. They had some awesome food, and the most amazing handmade stuff everywhere. It was HUGE!
We pretty much had the craziest day ever, and couldn't find where we parked, but thanks to a super nice bus driver who drove us around for 20 minutes we eventually found our car... haha... made it home for an hour, and headed over to Jaymies for cute Ruby's Lalaloopsy birthday party! So dang cute!

Clara now LOVES coloring.

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) Baby Rex kept getting bigger and bigger! Dad would put Rex in his only football outfit every Saturday to watch the Utes play! Haha. Teaching him young! Rex turned 10 months old in September! hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
