6 years!!
We just look so much better with an instagram filter. Dangit.
Either way- we celebrated 6 years of marriage on May 30th! Yahoo!
Last year I recounted the last 5 years of our marriage... HERE. Ahh it's fun to reminisce. And to add to the years....
2012-2013:
Still living here in Minot, ND. Survived one of the coldest winters to date up here! Brrrr.... Lucy turned 4, and Clara turned 2. And still no 3rd baby... Say what!?!? Come on Tyler... jump on board already. Lame-O. Even though we are living in perhaps one of the most undesireable locations- and when I say that I mean it's only undesirable from November-April! May-October are fabulous! Come on up won't you? Stay awhile!? Anyway. We have the greatest friends here, we love our ward, and we love being our little family here together. We're truly happy, and I know we'll look back at this time in our lives with such fond memories! Sigh....
Fun trips from our 6th year include: Utah trips galore, Arizona, Mt. Rushmore, More Utah trips, another marathon, Another Utah trip, yet another Utah trip, and of course Hawaii!
Ah... a trip down memory lane!
Tyler sure is a good catch! Looking forward to a few or more good years with this cool cat!
We celebrated with a delicous dinner at the Souris River Brewery, and a wild night at the Dakota Square mall: complete with buying a new Running visor at Scheels, buying a gallon of milk at Target, and using my $5 Barnes & Noble gift card to buy a Vanilla Frappaccino and read a People magazine!
Try not to fall out of your seat of excitement... it was actually SOOO nice to get out alone with Tyler, it had been toooo long! And well, I kinda like him!
In other tidbits of our lives the last couple weeks... Clara is as cute and crazy as ever. I love her so much it hurts!
Lucy and I had a good play session of house the other day. That girl has the BIGGEST imagination ever! She could play by herself for hours on end. I love listening to her play more than anything.
Saturday we were able to go down to the temple! I'm so glad our ward got temple days back up and going, it is so nice to go down, have people you know watch your kids, and relax at the temple!
The Bismarck temple is really small, so we of course saw the cute Temple president right as we walked in and told him we were hoping to do some sealings to celebrate our anniversary, he told us that he would make it happen! There was a live sealing before we could do our names, so we were able to sit and watch! It was this cute older couple of about 65 or so. The wife had joined the church 13 years ago, and the husband just about 5 years ago, and they were finally making it to the temple to get their endowment and be sealed. Their sealer was also their home teacher when they originally joined the church! It was such a neat thing to witness and to be a part of, I will never forget it. It was also the perfect reminder our our wedding day.
We finished the day by cutting off an arm and leg and leaving it at Sam's Club.
and drove home only to find out that they tore down our favorite barn! What!!???
Clara found two binkys in the church bag and I've NEVER seen her so happy. I repeat- NEVER. That girl....
I decided to try out making Cinnamon Rolls.... so I used the Pioneer Woman receipe, which you guys, if you don't know by now, P-Dub does NOT disappoint. It made like 50 cinnamon rolls though! Whoa! We spent Sunday evening running cinnamon rolls to dang near everyone we knew! They were delicious... Boy oh boy do I love baking. Yummmmmy.
to top the weekend off: I found this gem. My 2004 iPod. Can't wait to take it road trippin to Utah next week!
Lucy and Clara are obsessed with faceTime, and obsessed with Grandpa Brock telling them the HERBERT story! Watching Clara try to reenact it is so hilarious. Can't wait to see them in a week or so!
So it's been pouring rain here. Like never ending pouring rain. Like 11 inches of rain in the last 2 weeks- like raining. every. single. day. Flooding. cold. rain. rain. rain!
So i just had to document that it was June 4th and I was wearing jeans, my boots, a long sleeve t-shirt, and coat. It was 49 degrees and pouring rain. In JUNE. OH good glory. At least it's 70 today! Hallelujah! Is the swimming pool so much to ask for!?
Oh Clara....
Cute Ivy came home with me the other day to play with the little girls- I'm telling you. Coolest 11 year old I know... she dressed up like the witch to 'ruin' their tea party... and she is hilarious.
Then of course everyone wanted to be the witch too.. Here's cute Lucy and Braxlee.
Brax's family just moved in across the street- wahoo! We are so excited to have more friends close by, and Lucy has informed me that her and Brax are already best friends. Phew!
to start summer off Jenny and I ran a 10k last night! I definitely ate dinner wayyy to late/close to the race, but it was still fun just to be outside and run!
I bought Lucy a sketch pad at the store the other day, and she just brought me this drawing earlier tonight. She said it's her and Clara. She then took it away to add some shoulders and 'boobies'. But, "we aren't supposed to talk about those things..."
Love. Love. Love.
until next time....

bwahaha. I love your girls' little personalities. And, just to be clear, you are the smart one on the potty training thing. Read my next post:)
