don't worry-- this is the last of the Lake Powell pictures... 
Have I mentioned we LOVE it there? It is seriously the greatest place on Earth. It was so so relaxing this year, Tyler and I traded off watching Lucy, but even then I could just read a book on the beach while she played in the water in her life jacket! It was so awesome. I read 3 books, and had such an amazing time! We are so so thankful Bonnie and Jeff keep this tradition up! It's truly our favorite place!
this was at Hall's on a quick ice-cream/gas fill up/etc... trip. Lucy just had the meltdown of the century about her shoes being too small, and Grandma Bonnie even bought her new shoes at the marina! Good Glory- that Lucy and her shoes. Luckily Blake is able to wear the ones the Grandma bought because they were a little too big and wouldn't stay on Lucy's feet. She is such a drama queen sometimes! Sheesh!
Luke broke both of his legs in January, so he had this way sweet braces

These girls love snuggling with their Grandma!
So Lucy went on some pretty intense tube rides! I would be getting a little nervous while riding with her, and thinking that she must be terrified, when all the sudden she would be like, "Look mom! And Airplane!" or, "Did you see that Bird!?" She loved riding on the tube, and apparently can handle more crazy tube rides than I can!
Lucy was pretty nervous to swim too far out in the deep water, but once Grandma got in, she swam with her al the way to this little island! I was so proud! after that she was a little fish, and stayed in the deep water the whole time!
I didn't get any pictures, but of course we did Royal Rumble! It was a bit different with out cute Jessi- (she was in Europe! We all felt really bad for her...) but it's always one of the main highlights of the trip! Tyler drove the boat, and Amy, Luke, Carrie, Ben, and I had so much fun on the tubes. Carrie is always the most hilarious during Royal Rumble. I love it!
No big deal, this was just seconds before I totally dunked Lucy and Blakey-- our tube totally got sucked under the water! Lucy and Blake got stuck for a second under the tube, but luckily Luke was able to get Blake out, and I got Lucy. 
The last night we did more Floating Lanterns, amazing!

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
